Our Veterinarians

Dr. David Santisi, DVM

A Westport native, Dr. David Santisi, has been practicing in the area for almost 20 years. In 1993 he began working at Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital in Norwalk after graduating with his veterinary degree from Cornell University. He is now a co-owner of Strawberry Hill and also co-founded A Cat's Place in 1997 and then Winslow Park Animal Hospital in 2013. Dr. Santisi has spent time continuing his education in eye surgery, managing animal hospitals and feline medicine. With that interest in feline medicine, he helped create the cat specialized facility, A Cat's Place. Dr. Santisi lives with his wife, Sarah, his two sons and daughter, and his cat, Eli. He enjoys playing and watching sports, travelling, and spending time with his friends and family.





Dr. Jinkyu Shin, DVM

Dr. Jinkyu Shin is originially from South Korea. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Washington State University and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University. After graduation, he completed an internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Hospital in Texas. Dr. Shin moved to Connecticut to join his wife and has been practicing in the Hartford area before coming to Winslow Park Animal Hospital. He has special interests in preventive care, internal medicine, ultrasound imaging, and surgery. He lives with his wife Eunice and two cats, Arang and Leo in North Haven. During his free time, he likes to play sports and spend time with his family.





Dr. Darlene Ottolini, DVM

Dr. Darlene Ottolini received her undergraduate degree in civil engineering and worked for an environmental engineering firm before deciding to return to school to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian. After graduating from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, she practiced for almost 20 years in Michigan before recently relocating with her family to Connecticut. Her special medical interests include internal medicine, dentistry, and dermatology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and American Association of Feline Practitioners. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, sons, and numerous pets. She also enjoys tennis, swimming, and gardening.



Our Support Staff

Amanda, Veterinary Technician and Client Care Specialist

Amanda comes from a background in veterinary services, having been employed as a veterinary technician at A Cat's Place and Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital for 15 years. She has a degree in Professional Writing from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. Amanda brings to Winslow Park Animal Hospital organization skills, dedication and commitment which have helped us immensely since we opened our doors. When Amanda is not busy helping animals or writing, you can find her rocking out to her favorite bands at a concert or playing with her beloved pets—a beagle named Shilah and four cats, Luna, Phoenix, Punkie and Dixie.




Courtney, Veterinary Assistant and Client Care Specialist

We first met Courtney as a high school intern at Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital during her senior year of high school. She continued to work for us when she was on break from university. She graduated from Penn State with a BS in Animal Science in 2015. While at college, Courtney took part in bovine research for three years. She also studied abroad in Australia where she worked with exotics and farm animals.


Her first job out of college was as a Science and Animal Educator at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. She worked for two years as a Hospitality Manager and Nature Coordinator at Grace Farms in New Canaan where she taught educational programs in wilderness skills, plant identification, and wildlife interaction for all ages.


Courtney joined our team in 2017. She is a compassionate and loving person who treats every animal as her own. She will go above and beyond to make sure an animal is getting the care it needs.


She has a dog named Gator who she often says is the love of her life. In her free time, she enjoys live music, traveling, hiking, rock climbing, playing volleyball/softball, and hanging out with friends.



Sky, Veterinary Assistant and Client Care Specialist

Sky attended Norwalk Community College where she gained her veterinary assitant program certification. She grew up around many animals of all species and discovered her passion for them. It was her love for animals that the had drawn her into the veterinary field.


Sky joined our team in 2017 and went on to worked at our sister hospitals, Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital and A Cat's Place, as well. She brings to Winslow Park Animal Hospital, compassion and love for animals in all shapes and sizes.


In her free time, Sky enjoys hanging out with family, drawing, and watching horror movies. She currently has a bulldog named Ziggy (pictured) and has discovered a passion for aquatic life; she has an aquarium full of fish, snails, and a blue lobster. She recently got a black bear hamster, which she has named Chorizo.
